Sogang University and my new appartment~

I started class on December 3rd, and I have to say, I was kinda excited but also stressed out since I absolutely didn't know what I was supposed to do or where to go! But everything went smoothly and I made myself well-known around the Institute.

I subscribed to the 15 hours program, which means I am attending 3 hours class per day, 5 days a week.
All class are being teach in Korean, of course.

The Campus is really nice and cool, the books are well-made and the teachers fun~
Even those I'm bored during class since I already know quite a lot in Korea, I enjoy going to class, thanks to my dear and lovely classmates~!
Those are from Japan, Taiwan, Egypte, Australia, America, England...
We are all very close, like a big family, it was really amazing to find out we all felt this way right after our first meeting!

 ♥

Now we try to spend a lot of time all together, since some of them (most) will be back to their country in three or six months... Every moment are really precious, and we know about it~

Now, let me introduce you to my place~~ (Place I had soooooo much stress and trouble to make as mine! But thanks to my parents and korean sister, it turned out well.)
It's located in Yeongdeunpo-Gu, Dangsan, 10 minutes away from the subway station.
Around there are lots of nice restaurants, little grocerie shops, hair stylists and.... Not sure, but I think there's an Idol Dormitory very near, since lots of huge black cars from KBS and stuffs come next to my place to get gasoil and just to park....! Hehe~

How do you find it??
I made some changes recently about the decoration, gonna upload some new pictures soon~

Sorry dear friends~! I'm back! ;)

Hey guys~ It's been quite a while right???

I'm so sorry, I haven't been able to post lately, this due to the too-dynamic-korean-way-of-life!
Omg~ It's so crazy here...  But anyway, stop making excuses now, I have a loooooot to tell you!~

What did you miss?

I started class in Sogang University

Korean foods and drinks. Yummy~! 한국 음식과 음료~

Here is an article about the supi-yummy stuffs you can try here in Korea.
Korea is a-ma-zing when it comes to food, there are thousand dishes, drinks... But not enough time or stomach to try it all!
And if you're surprised by the aspect of some of these dishes, imagine the taste: A ki-ller. :)
Plus, the cost of most of these is nothing. Cheap and yummy! What else to ask for? You can go out with less than 2,000 won on your pocket and get a great lunch served by a nice-and-talkative ahjumma on the street or find a cozy place managed by a whole family who's gonna take care of you like one of them.
When you show love and interest for their food, people here will be touched and show you warmness.
It's amazing! Ah yeah, also, if you're a foreigner (called '외국인' here) korean will show you more attention and care and help you choosing what kind of dishes would fit you the best or help you use your chopsticks and so on... And don't be shocked if they refuse to serve you some of their dishes. It's may be because you chose a very spicy one (almost everything's spicy here! Haha!). So no offend, they're just worried you would  get hurt or being unable to eat very spicy food. If you still feel that adventurous, then let's go for a try~!
Everything's about apparence here, that's how a dinning table look like. Good right? ;) Lot's of banchan 반찬! (Little dishes usually served with the principal dish.)

Banchan

BBQ! Korean usually meet after work around delicious bbq and couple of bottles of soju 소주 or beer 맥주. The atmosphere is always great!

Samgyeopsal 삼곂살
Bulgogi 불고기
Soju 소주
Korean Beer 맥주
Street food~ Mh~~~ ;p

Kimbap 김밥

Tteokbokki 떡볶이

Random dishes with rice, soup or noodles~
Bibimbap 비빔밥
Mandu
Ramyeon 라면
Soup

Seaweed soup with noodles

Here's the Korean's Pride: KIMCHI 김치

If you don't feel like drinking alcool, don't worry, here you go~! You can find beverages everywhere, at any time, because those little market are open non-stop! Isn't that awesome?! That's something I like to do, going out wearing jogging, around midnight or 2am and do some groceries... Yeah!

Wanna get a taste of these all right~? ;) Gotcha! If you plan on coming to Korea, make sure to try at least these dishes. Or else, you would definitely be missing something! Bon appétit~~~!

Moving from Sinchon to Yeongdeungpo, subway-life and stuffs~

I left the Guesthouse in Sinchon for a more warm and comfortable place in Yeongdeungpo.
Thanks to my bf who drived me and helped me with all my luggages (poor dear!) I arrived in my new korean-family. (This one's composed by 4 members: Parents and 2 daughters) I couldn't dream for better!
They are so warm, lovely, friendly and fun! I like it here, even still it's only my second night here. Hehe~
The place is great, there's a nice cafe, subway and little restaurant near that make awesome kimbap. It's perfect! Even though there isn't much people here, it feels good.

Okay, so now I will talk a little about the korean subway, coz I'm spending a lot of time in it to go there and there so....

I'll introduce you to this now good friend of mine! ;)

Doesn't it look good? (Compared to the Paris one....)

One of the most convenient way to travel. Well, everything's clean, there's air-conditioner, people have respect for each other (Okay, not really when there's a event or something, people won't hesitate to push you and stuff... But still!), it's quiet, everyone is stuck with his phone ... It's really comfortable! Do you see all the place there? You almost can get a table and eat in the middle of the train! Isn't that fantastic?! Well, of course, space is needed when so much people use the subway, which is called 역 (Yeok) in Korean.
eveything is very-well indicated, all you have to do is remember which station you wanna go to, the direction and hop! You also need a T-Money Card (Which is way better than using poor tickets, which with the time become expensive...) and you can go in. It's easy to get one, and the fare a very very cheap here.

I really like the subway (well, only when it's not crowded like hell..), coz some people won't hesitate to friendly talk to you when you're waiting, smile to you like "hey, don't worry, I think the sub is coming soon!"... Maybe it's because I'm foreigner, I don't know, but compared to France, people won't be that cold and won't look at you with dark glances showing their boringness... I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about.... Yes you do~!

Oh, I didn't explain what happen with the Fireworks Festival (불꽃 놀이 축제).... Ew..
Actually, I totally missed it, and instead experienced hell for the first time in Korea...
Once I got to the station to meet my bf, it was soooooo crowded.... As if it was apocalypse, you know. Maybe if you guys search on Internet some videos about the "Fireworks Festival in Seoul from 06/10/12" you might find some interesting ones, showing you thousand people waiting in the hot subway, stuck to each others... I spent three hours like this! Haha, And once I got outside, because everyone were using the network, it crashed, so no way for me to find my bf. Just at this moment, the fireworks started and... I was sooo disappointed, I just kept looking around, and 20 minutes just went back home.Only there was the network back. Damn it!

In order to comfort me, my bf came to meet me and we went to the restaurant... Isn't that nice?! ;) Anyway, next year I'll prepare myself well... And get there 2 days before! Yup!

These days, there's lots of festival in Seoul, particulary in Itaewon. "Global Festival", "World Dance Festival"... Always something to do, no way to get boring here. That's FAN-TAS-TIC !

Next time, I'll show you some awesome yummy-stuffs~ I'm sure you guys will loooove it~!

Party in Hongdae, Friends and Sight-seeing around Seoul~

Omg! I'm loosing the notion of time...!
What did I do the past three days? ᄏᄏ It felt like a dream, kind of.

My awesome friend Myeongji took me to an International Party in Hongdae. (Where Koreans and Foreigners can meet each others, have some drinks, talk and so on..)

Hongdae is one of the spot you cannot SHOULDN'T miss in Seoul! Seriously, wanna have fun? Wanna party and dance like crazy all night long? Meet people? Have some drinks or bbq with friends? Then Hongdae is the perfect place to be! Awesome and vibrant atmosphere out there~ ^^
Most bars in Korea don’t usually get busy until around 11.30pm, with the vibe of the place usually peaking at around 2am. So don't get surprise if it's 5 or 6 am and you see people on the streets por coming out from Clubs. It's always crowded and busy. It's a-ma-zing! (But when do they sleep seriously? Never! I must have become Korean now since I forgot what 'sleeping' means. ᄏᄏ)
Anyway, The Internationale Party was great since I met few nice people from France (Et oui!), Malaysia, Canada, Norway, Korea etc... Some of them actually studying in Sogang University, the one I'll be attending in December. Woot woot! Anyway, it was really nice and actually my 'Friends Contact List' grew up buy quite a lot. Haha!
After the party we wandered around with my friend, looking for some nice clubs to spend some time in.
When we finally found one, the crazy atmosphere wasn't there yet since it was still early, but later on, people came in and started dancing and drinking and stuffssssssss! It was really great, here again we met nice people and enjoyed the music, drinks and vibe as much as possible! :)
I went back home around... 6am maybe? But went to sleep only around 9am since I had friends to talk with~  헤 헤
On the day I met my friend M. again, and we stayed in my room, talking about things and stuffs, and then went to a very nice place to eat~ After a very good lunch, she brought me to a little shop she liked very much. She's the bessssst~

At night, I met with a guy (HJH) I had met at the club earlier, and went to drink Coffee. He also brought me to lots of places such as Noraebang 노래방 (Karaoke), to the Han River, parks, and drived me to famous places around Seoul. 진짜 좋았어~~~ ^^ After going to eat and drink something in Hongdae, we came back around 7 or 8am.
At 7pm we went out to eat bbq and then to Noreaebang again. It was really really awesome!
Thanks to him I get to discover so much stuffs and places for the first time~! 와~~~~

Okay, now let's stop the funny part, and let's talk about paper works, bank money and so on....
Everything (or almos)t has been done! YEAH ! After turning around Seoul, looking for Foreign banks, we finally get to exchange money and put it on my Korean Bank Account! See that??! :D

Hallelujah~

I really feel relieved after taking care of Banking, School Admission.... Now is there something even more important than all that: Getting my korean ID. (Alien Card)
Last time we went there, we waited for 3 or 4 hours maybe.. But we needed other documents, so next time I'll be going there, I'll get it. Because it's needed if you want to get a credit card or buy a phone, and also for a change of VISA.
So much things to do here in order to become a little korean. ᄏᄏᄏ

Anyway guys, just know that I'm having so much fun* and that I love being here~ :)

*Thanks to my friends, nice taxi drivers who make me laugh so hard... Well everything!

여러분 안녕~~~ 한국에 나왔어~! :)

안녕~~ Hello~!

I'm finally in Korea! The country I'll be calling "home" from now on. 아~좋다!

After a quick flight of about 13 hours, 45 mins of bus... And here was Seoul!
Here is Chuseok (추석) holidays, so lots of stores are closed and people are visiting their family in their hometown. Well, not everyone indeed, since lots of korean are still wandering outside.
Anyway, the weather is awesomely nice, and just walking around is good, even at night!

I can't wait to go to the bank tomorrow, to University and so on... Once everything will be settled, I'll then feel at ease and ready to start my new life~~~! I also can't wait to meet my friends here! Hehe
Anyway, everything's perfect here!
